After 15 years, Shear It Up is getting a whole new look—and a whole new home.
After 15 years in the same location, Shear It Up is finally moving to a new home! I have spent about eight years looking for the right house in the right location—one where I could bring my grooming shop home with me—and it finally happened.
The best part? We are only moving about six minutes down the road, so this is a big change for me without being a big drive for you.
Please don’t worry—I’m not selling the business. There are no new employees and no mystery groomer taking over. It is still me, Amber, with the same equipment, the same one-on-one care and the same Shear It Up you already know.
The things you love are staying the same. The things that are changing are getting better.
This move has been a long time coming. For years, Cleo and I have been making the drive back and forth from Wellington just so I could get to work. Having the shop at home means less driving, no more worrying about that commute in bad weather, and a little more time at home together.
It also lets me sell the house at the old shop location to my younger sister and her husband so they can start their own new chapter there while I finally start mine.
What started as a third-car garage has been turning into the new Shear It Up one step at a time.
The new shop will still have the familiar feel of Shear It Up and will once again be built from a third-car garage with its own entrance—but it has received a serious facelift.
We have added more natural lighting, new paint colors, insulation, electrical work, drywall, and real heating and air conditioning with a new mini split. I have also updated the Shear It Up logo and website. Having the shop at home should give me a little more flexibility for same-day appointments when availability allows.
New address:
4010 Stoneway Court
Fort Collins, CO 80525
The shop is in the third-car garage on the left side of the house. Please park on the left side of the driveway, where the garage door is still in place, and follow the new walkway toward the shop entrance. There is even stamped Shear It Up lettering pointing you in the right direction.
Look for the gray house with the distinctive rainbow-looking windows near the entrance of the cul-de-sac.
Appointments move to the new location beginning October 27, 2026.
As we get closer, I will keep reminding everyone through text and email, and I plan to have a sign at the old location so nobody accidentally shows up at the wrong shop. This page will keep getting updated as the last pieces of the new shop come together.
After 15 years in one place—and eight years of looking for the right place to go next—this feels like a pretty huge chapter for Shear It Up. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with your dogs, followed me through all these years, and made it possible for me to build a shop that finally gets to come home with me.
Same Amber. Same Love. A Whole New Shear It Up! 🐾
